Edmond Airantzis

Edmond Airantzis

Edmond combines deep knowledge of the energy sector with a strong background in investment origination and execution.

For seven years prior to launching NEP, he was Deputy CEO of Premier Energy, a major gas distribution company in Romania, with oversight of Premier Energy Moldova, the largest electricity company in the Republic of Moldova. He has also been an investor in photovoltaic parks since 2006.

Before his appointment by Emma Capital as Deputy CEO of Premier Energy, he spent two years pursuing private equity investments in Greece, after a 20+ year career in the financial advisory domain with Deloitte, Devletoglou Securities (Corporate Finance Division), Grant Thornton, and Sol Crow Horwath.

He was also a founder at CNL Capital, an Athens Stock Exchange-listed high-yield credit supplier, specializing in ringfenced cash-flow lending. He has served on CNL’s investment committee from 2015 to date.

He holds a B.A. in Engineering from Oxford University, and an M.Sc. in Industrial Management and an MBA in Banking and Finance from Birmingham University.

Theodore Kiakidis

Theodore Kiakidis Theodore has a strong track record in PE investment with Global Finance, a leading regional private equity firm, where he spent 23 years originating, executing, monitoring, and exiting investments in Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania.

He also spent four years in Romania, where he established First Southeast Investment Partners, a boutique M&A advisory firm focused on helping local companies and entrepreneurs raise capital, and on supporting Greek companies as they entered the Romanian market.

He started his career in management consulting in Paris, and holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Georgetown University, and an M.A. in International Trade and Finance from Harvard University.

George Andreoglou

George is a seasoned investment professional in project finance, with a prior focus on real estate. He started his career in London in 2001 as a debt executive, before moving to Ernst & Young’s real estate division.

In 2006 he joined Global Finance’s real estate arm, where he had the opportunity to work on multiple renewables projects. After nine years, he joined AIM-London-listed SPDI for three years, before spending three years in Romania, monitoring a major real estate asset and advising on its successful sale.

He holds a B.Sc. in Financial Economics from the Birkbeck College, University of London, and an M.Sc. in Real Estate Investment from Bayes Business School, City, University of London.

Stamatis Diolettas

Stamatis Diolettas is a senior energy expert, with more than 20-year experience in the energy field. Since 2003, he has conducted numerous energy studies for municipalities and private companies. From 2010 to 2019, he collaborated with Piraeus Equity Advisors S.A, a Piraeus Bank subsidiary, by establishing the ZIBENO INVESTMENTS LTD for the development of renewable energy projects. As Managing Director of ZIBENO I ENERGY A. E. developed biomass projects in North Greece. The last two years, he is developing and evaluating energy projects for private investors. He has thorough experience in the preparation of renewable energy projects with particular expertise in the biogas and  biomass sector. 

He holds a BSc in Physics from the Aristotelion University of Thessalonica, a MSc in Renewable Energy and Environment from University of Reading (UK), a MSc (with distinction) in Energy: Law, Strategy and Economics from the University of Piraeus and a PhD (cum laude) in Distributed Energy Resources from Polytechnic University of Catalonia.

Eoin Lazaridis Power

Prior to joining NEP, Eoin was a strategy consultant serving corporate and government clients in capital intensive and technologically advanced industries including aerospace, defense, and energy.

He spent five years working for two management consulting firms in the United States, Canada, and the U.K., before moving to Belgrade, where he spent two years as the lead partner for the Serbian office of Eastern Europe’s leading consultancy.

He holds a B.A. from Middlebury College in political science, philosophy, and economics, and an M.A. in East European Studies from of the University of Michigan. He is also currently pursuing a PhD in political science at the University of Texas, Austin.

Sotiris Bantas

SOTIRIS BANTAS

Sotiris is a hands-on technologist and serial entrepreneur with diverse engineering background in semiconductor and electronics design, and ‘full stack’ expertise in IoT systems.

Sotiris is experienced in the role of high-tech startup founder, with deep involvement in fundraising from VCs and strategic investors, converting technology into product, and selling solutions to multinational companies.

He is currently the founder and CEO of Centaur Analytics a full stack IoT provider of solutions which enable abundance and sustainability while reducing agricultural waste.

He had formerly co-founded Helic Inc. which specializes in RF & high-speed IC design solutions. Helic was acquired by ANSYS, a US based, NASDAQ listed software company in 2019.

He holds an electrical engineering degree, as well as PhD, from the National Technical University of Athens and has also taken executive courses at Harvard Business School.

Maria Georgalou

MARIA GEORGALOU

Maria is a highly experienced and extremely versatile C-level executive with a very strong industrial background.

During the last seven years she has served as deputy CEO of Chipita International, a regional leader in snacks and packaged foods, acquired by Mondelez in May 2021 for $2 bn.

She had previously served for another seven years as Business Development Director and Group CFO of Delta Holdings, an Athens Stock Exchange listed regional conglomerate of ¬ €1,4 bn turnover, in the food and quick service restaurant businesses.

In between the two previous assignments, she spent four years helping successfully grow a family-owned dry cleaning business in Romania, Greece, Serbia and Croatia.

At the beginning of her career she was involved in private equity investments in Spain, Portugal Greece, Russia and the Balkans.

Mathias Mohrpahl

MATHIAS MÖHRPAHL

Mathias is a seasoned M&A executive with a strong focus on renewables’ transactions.

He is currently a Partner at Ficus Advisory and Sector Head for Renewable Energy at Globalscope International M&A network.

Mathias has been strongly involved in renewable energy deal structurings, fund developments and M&A advisory globally, and has originated and lead several transactions in different countries in Latin America, SE Asia and Eastern Europe. More recently, he has also been involved in hydrogen deals, as an alternative fuel.

Prior to FICUS, Mathias was responsible for the Asset Management structuring and organization of a leading Nordic financial institution in Chile. He studied Economics at the Universities of Cologne and Kiel in his native Germany, and holds a Master in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London, United Kingdom.

Harris Sahinis

HARIS SACHINIS

Haris is a renowned top executive with both public and private sector expertise, in Greece and internationally, with a deep understanding of the natural gas sector.

He is currently Chief Executive Officer of EYDAP, the largest water and wastewater company in Greece listed on the Athens Stock Exchange

He previously held the position of Business Development Officer at Aegean Airlines and he has been involved in private equity, independently as a Partner at Global Finance, and as an Operating Partner at Advent International.

Earlier he was the Chairman and CEO of DEPA Group while he has also served as President of the McGraw-Hill Companies’ Business Information Group, which he made into one of the top global business-to-business information companies, specializing in the aerospace and defense, construction and energy industries.

Prior to this, he was President of Platts, which he built into the world’s largest energy price and information provider and at the same time actively promoted transparency and integrity in the global energy markets.

He was also Group Vice President of Standard & Poor’s, where he grew key strategic businesses in the financial information sector. He is a Member of the Boards of Directors of ICAP, of ATHEXClear, of ENEXClear, and of theAtlantic Council.

He also serves on the Investment Committee of CNL Capital. He holds an engineering degree from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Glykeria Tsernou Vassilaki

GLYKERIA TSERNOU – VASILAKI

Glykeria has been working, since 2013, for the Th. Vassilakis Group (Aegean Airlines, Autohellas-Hertz, SEAT, Hyundai/KIA) overseeing new projects and investments in the Family Office.

She started her professional life in investment banking as an analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York upon graduating from university, and then in management consulting at Marakon Associates (a Charles River Associates Company), in London, following her graduate business studies.

Upon returning to Greece, she first joined Alumil S.A., a leading aluminum extrusion industry as Head of Corporate Planning and then moved to Global Finance S.A., the pioneer in private equity in Greece, as Investment Manager until 2008. Following that, she joined financial advisory boutique Vector Partners working on projects across industries in Greece (acquisitions, de-listings, corporate transformations etc.).

She is currently Member of several Boards across industries.

Mrs. Tsernou studied Business Economics and International Relations at Brown University (Magna Cum Laude) and holds an MBA from the London Business School.
